Half of a pairing is the caffeine; the other half is, undoubtedly, baked goods fresh from the oven. Chinese Walnut Cookies were a half teaspoon of baking powder away from success, and to blame for the puff instead of the crunch is my own heavy handedness.
I've seen little to none of outside world occurences, so this entry shall merely serve as a personal recount of items ingested over the week-long period. The start of the week commenced with a ground-shaking craving for Chipotle. Rushing out of the house for my guac-garnished assemblage meant omission of a water bottle. Thus, the drive entailed a detour into Galleria for blaze-battling fluids. Oh and kimchi. Alas, bottled beverages were deemed too pricey for purchase. I emerged instead with Jessica edition Pepero, obnoxiously salty danmuji, and Kakao-character-like-but-not-quite-themed Dalgona candy bites. A semi-successful Espresso Chiffon Cake reared its icing sugar-decked head towards the latter part of the week. Inspired by Cooking Tree and dolloped with a heaping spoonful of vanilla Greek yogurt and toasted desiccated coconut, the fluffy wedges were the ideal format of repurposing my Maxell House grinds. On a good ankle day, short walks are achievable. Perhaps it is the wine bottle and dumbbell routines, for wielding two six-packs back home has never been easier. And I'd likely never lift a weight ever if the idea hadn't been presented by the trusted blogilates. (Seriously, I swear by her - for everything but non-dance cardio, that is.) Side Launch's Northbound Lager provided a crisp ending to a certain evening, though was largely unmemorable. Granville Island Brewery's Limited Edition Watermelon Lager was, depressingly, not my cup of tea either. With sunnier days and (hopefully) warmer weather on the way, I've temporarily swapped my morning pour-overs for sweet, frothy lattes.
