Out & About #438 | Collective March Visuals

3/31/2018

March is a month I'm fairly fond of.
My first GOT7 bias, Jackson, is March baby; in late 2017, I discovered that Hyunjin, my Stray Kids bias, also shares this birthday month.

Technically, these past thirty-one days have tremendously tiring to the point where my K-Pop intake has dwindled slightly. As always though, I'll be casually showing a peek into my consuming habits.
1) Breakfast consisting of a Cream Cheese Multigrain Bagel and Caramel Chocolate Latte (Mocha?) from McDonald's

2) Who knew Glico Curry and coconut milk would result in such a creamy curry base?!
3) Satisfying the never-ending craving for bubble tea
4) Attempting a layered Mango Mousse Cake (and partially succeeding)

5) More Happy Meal visuals! I'm on mission to collect 'em all, after all!
6) Post-work sundae run at McD's
7) For me, 7 has always been a lucky number, even before GOT7's prominent entry into my life.

11) Trying Combo B of Tsujiri's new launch: Matcha Pound Cake + Sencha
12) Is this real?! An East Coast location of Pappa Roti is simultaneously being constructed at Square One along with the pending College Street location dowtown?!?

20) Homemade Matcha Chiffon Cake was 90% a success thanks to Cooking Tree - just a few more tweaks and maybe it'll appear soon over at What I Make!

22) Homemade Mango Mousse Cake Attempt

Taking inspiration from artistically formulated cakes from Cooking Tree, I set out to craft my own layered dessert with the immense load of ripe mangoes in our house. My own adaption comprised of three layers: A basic sponge cake a the bottom, Nutella/Coconut/Mango Custard Mousse in the middle, and a zingy Mango Mousse on top. The entire cake was then smothered in a mango puree-infused whipped cream.

In the midst of halving the required ingredient amounts for the sponge cake, I, in my haste, neglected the re-adjusting of flour content. The result was an overly stiff, soggy foundation. For this reason, the Mango Mousse Cake recipe shall not be released until the appropriate remediation measures are finalized.

23) Who needs The Alley when my personally concocted Citrus Ribena Barley Tea is far superior in both revitalizing properties and price?
24) One Zo, despite being the tardiest bubble tea shop in the Yonge and Finch area, remains a destination that I'd enjoy exploring more of.

25) In addition to being extra adorable, the LINE Friend x MEDIHEAL collaboration is mindbogglingly effective -  hands down one of the most surprising discoveries at P-Mall.

While I had anticipated February to be incredibly hectic, I had not expected March to whiz by as it did. The third month of the new year has flown by without much evidence of its passing, except in the form of food-related visuals.
With spring hopefully around the corner, I aspire to share more tales of the great outdoors in due time. See you next month!
