When DAY6 had me scurrying to and from terminals for a total of 4 hours in wait, I was admittedly frustrated, but there was little that could be done given the nonexistent updates from south of the border.
When ASTRO was scheduled to depart New York for their first tour stop in Canada, I had been certain that the sextet would arrive on a morning flight in preparation for their fanmeeting later the same day.
Well, I had been mistaken.

Instead of a morning flight, the boys had opted to board an early afternoon trip from one of the smaller airports. All flights making their arrival at Pearson were delayed extensively, ranging from 60 to 90 minutes, and ASTRO's flight was no exception.
I arrived at the early hour of 10:30 AM - quite the feat for a night owl such as myself - and promptly seated myself in anticipation of their arrival. It wasn't it.
Again and again, the doors did not reveal any shred of K-pop charisma. My optimism gradually began to wither, and my appetite did rage.

Around 2:20 pm, the waiting area appeared a bit more full. "There are staff!" I excitedly whispered to the girls around me.
A total of forty minutes after their reported landing - just around 3:20 pm - I caught a glimpse of Moonbin's face appear from the doors.

Sadly, I did not get the opportunity to high five my ASTRO bias. Heck, I didn't even manage to snap more than five crisp shots of the boy before they whizzed by.
The MediaOne staff had made every attempt to converse with the fans beforehand, pleading them to allow the boys to pass such that they could reach rehearsal grounds as soon as possible. Volunteers served as barriers to block our movement.
(Word on the street is that the show started over one hour late.)

All members of the idol group appeared haggard, and rightfully so given the incredulous weather-induced delay.
At one point, Sanha appeared directly behind me. However, before I could even lift my camera, I was roughly shoved to one side by their domestic manager pushed me away. I was appalled that he had the sheer decency to push someone onto a sheet of ice. Thankfully the platforms had been salted, else the outcome would have been unthinkably painful.

In summary:
- Moonbin came out first. He appeared alert but clearly confused at the scene and the direction in which they were supposed to exit. His skin was bare beneath a black mask that had been partially yanked down, exposing his nose and several acne spots. Unlike Jinyoung, his glasses housed (prescription?) lenses.
- MJ, Sanha, and JinJin followed. While MJ and Eunwoo were dressed appropriately in multiple layers and down jackets, JinJin's excessively distressed denim and relatively thin streetwear-inspired ensemble said otherwise.
- Rocky was the member I barely recognized at all, for his face was almost entirely hidden from view inside a large hood and black mask.
- Eunwoo wore glasses with clear frames, though I didn't look particularly close at him and therefore cannot conclude whether there were lenses present.

Only two members waved to us from inside the van (Sanha? MJ?), but Moonbin was not one of them.
My final view before the van door closed shut was a glimpse of the adorable alarm clock keychain dangling from Eunwoo's backpack - a physical representation of his "Morning Alarm" nickname.
The entire ordeal was a mere few minutes of excitement and chaos.
