Hope you enjoyed all the photos from Day 13! =)
After spending the morning stuffing the results of my 2-week vacation/shopping trip into a luggage borrowed from my grandmother, we went out for green tea-flavoured egg waffles and sticker photos at Aberdeen. After a satisfying combo of crispiness and egginess, I wanted to try a Japanese-style pasta. So I did; I ordered a Chicken Carbonara Pasta at Strawberry Cones. We also went for "Da Lang", which is Cantonese for a meal/snack after dinner. I wasn't too hungry for noodles and congee, so I ordered a chocolate milk instead. Little did I know that Asian congee places like Tsim Chai Noodles (沾仔記) don't actually have chocolate milk in the fridge. And so what I got instead was something disgusting resembling a combination of chilled Milo and a non-milk-like substance. Yeah, never ordering that again. Though I'll still go back for their noodles and congee. There was also some time to walk around before Da Lang, and these were the shots I took during that period of time. Since I stopped drinking my "chocolate milk" a couple sips into the foul-tasting beverage, I asked my second uncle (who had joined us for Da Lang) to stop in front of a dessert shop called Sweetie P. Dessert App for a quick sec. The interior deco of the shop was simple, but pretty cute. The dessert float on the other hand wasn't so amazing - watermelon juice with diced fruit topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream raped, for lack of a better word, my wallet of $6.25 (=O) ! Had I been at home, equipped with my trusty KitchenAid blender and new CuisinArt ice cream maker, I could have easily produced a cheaper (and better tasting!) one with fresh fruit like pineapple, papaya, berries, etc. But alas, I wasn't in Toronto at the moment was I? And so there wasn't much else I could do to get access to a fruity dessert. Hope you enjoyed all the photos from Day 13! =) ~ END ~
