[The Intense Summer] VANCOUVER DAY 2

As of now it's no longer Day 2, though I honestly think that I've had enough excitement (read: taken enough photos) to last me a good couple days.

First thing Sunday morning, I headed over to UBC to attend the NorthWest Fan Fest, which was a combination of Vancouver's annual Cos and Effect and Comic Con conventions. Photos from the event can be found HERE.

It was smaller than I expected, but then again, nothing can live up to Anime North expectations (haha). Perhaps it was also because I was roaming around the Student Union Building (where the event was being held) rather early (before noon).

Even though it was a last-minute decision to attend the convention, I still wanted to cosplay, even if that meant doing an extremely simple "closet cosplay" (as Sachie calls it).
So grabbing my burgundy blazer that I used to cosplay Taiga at Anime Revolution last August (that somehow managed to shrink half a size from the depths of my closet) and stealing my dad's tie, I somehow managed to put together a somewhat recognizable Adachi Hana!

(Pssttttt "Yankee-kun to Megane-chan", along with "Yamada-kun to Shichi-nin no Majo", happens to be one of my faves by Yoshikawa Miki!)

I actually didn't end up having breakfast until around 2 PM <insert A.D.T.O.Y chorus here>, but thankfully there was a Starbucks location on campus.

The campus, though much larger and more difficult to navigate around than my home campus, was extremely beautiful and ideal for photoshoots on quieter days.

The morning was quite fulfilling and I managed to purchase a few items I really liked =)

It's the Free! crew! After finally jumping on the bandwagon, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Eternal Summer (=D), though I probably won't get a chance to watch it as my flight's tomorrow morning and will span for a total duration of 15 hours or so including a transfer...

I believe these were real flowers? Though I suppose I'll never get the chance to find out, since our waiter snatched the delicate little things from our table shortly after we sat down.

But so concludes Day 2!
Tomorrow I shall be embarking on the Asia segment of my vacation!!  o(^ ▽ ^)o
