[The Intense Summer] VANCOUVER DAY 14

So today I set off on an adventure to travel to as many places as possible via SkyTrain, and return home before lunchtime.

Well, I guess it wasn't exactly like that.

My plan was simply to go out for a bit and be able to make it back in time for lunch with the grandparents.
But as BC's Translink system would have it, bus/SkyTrain tickets are only valid for a measly hour and a half transfer period (tickets back home are valid for a good two hours).

So hopping on the Canada Line to Waterfront from Aberdeen, I was able to reach Oakridge in less than 15 minutes, and run in to buy a Butterscotch Pecan muffin and Low-Fat Cranberry Blueberry muffin from mmmuffins for my grandparents and return back to the SkyTrain terminal in approximately 10 minutes.

(I wonder how tna feels about their slogan being used by Oakridge Center...)

I  also wanted to check out the $27 jeggings I spotted at Hollister on Tuesday, so I decided to make a stop at Pacific Centre to try them out. But as I would have it, I ended up getting off at one stop later than I should have, and accidentally taking the exit to the Expo and Millennium Lines and ferry terminal.
Retracing my steps back, I eventually ended up at Pacific Centre some 10 minutes later, did what I came for, bought a Blackberry Mojito Iced Tea Lemonade at an extremely slow-operating Starbucks near the lower level of the Hudson's Bay, and took the SkyTrain back to Richmond at the stop I should have originally gotten off at.

(Quirky sportswear is an awesome trend by the way. And so are dotted above-the-ankle socks paired with dotted sneakers.) 

I was (thankfully) able to reach Richmond Centre before my bus ticket expired and somehow managed to be back home in a little over 2 hours. Phew!

In the afternoon, we went to Shoppers for a bit and then proceeded to Pinkberry to add more frozen yogurt markings to my stamp card.

Pictured above are: Coconut with pineapple, strawberries and watermelon and Matcha/Pomegranate with Sugarpova, strawberries, and seriously decadent brownie bites.

And just for the note, Sugarpova toppings were nowhere near as good as I had hoped them to be; these rock-hard artificially-coloured sugary limps are severely over-hyped in my opinion.

This never-before-seen Mackintosh's toffee deriving from a sale at Shoppers doesn't taste particularly fantastic either.
