After an insomniatic Friday night, I finally wrote my enviro exam on Saturday morning. Fingers crossed that I'll pass since failing the final is equivalent to failing the course, regardless of what your previous marks were. And because failing also means that come next year, I'll have to spend ANOTHER GLORIOUS YEAR with that disorganized blob of a prof that is incapable of explaining concepts without dragging it out, belatedly posts everything on the course website, and fails to provide solutions to our practice exam..
YUP. Besides mechanics (which I actually do find to be an important course - it's just that physics was never my strong suit =P), this is the course that I enjoyed the most this year. I mean, WHAT IS THERE NOT TO ENJOY??? I was so thrilled at the idea of trekking across campus every time that I just decided to skip a full month of this class. (Sense my sarcasm yet?)
But anyways, my last exam isn't until next Friday so I decided to take a little break yesterday.
Oh! Side note: Before talking about yesterday, I want to reveal my cell phone charm of the month: Santeddy! ^ ^ /
So alright moving on~
After my exam, we went to try out Paramount Fine Foods; it opened recently near our house and since there was nothing left in our fridge besides 3-day-old honey mustard chicken, we agreed that never-before-tried Middle Eastern/Lebanese cuisine would be a satisfactory lunchtime resolve.
Like, officially. Not just a sheer layer of frost or anything, but actually layers and layers of the fluffy white stuff known as snow.
And here's the proof:
We were actually hit with an enormous snowstorm; there was even a huge collision involving 50 (!!!!), yes FIFTY, vehicles on the highway. One of the drivers was interviewed on CP24 and she talked about how one car hit her, causing her to spin perpendicularly onto the highway, where she was then hit once in the front and once in the back. O _ o GEEZ, talk about scary. Luckily none of the drivers were badly injured.
As neither of us had been in a mall since exams had started, we were delighted to discover that Square One had been thoroughly decked out in festive holiday decorations, including a huge Christmas on the upper level, where photos with Santa were being taken, and one made completely out of lights was placed in the middle of the lower level.
When we walked by the GUESS store, the two rhinestone-studded-t-shirt-sporting girls in Santa hats informed us of their 2-day 45% off sale limited to this weekend only. I came across a rather fabulous dress - part velvet, part sequins, and complete with a classic yet still modern sheer panel - in addition to an equally stunning multi-purpose cross-body.
Both were at extremely reasonable prices. However, being the frugal and impatient being that I am, I walked out of the store upon spotting the two lines of 20+ people (per line!) lined up at the cashier and after being notified that the last bag of that size happened to be the one on display.
I also spotted some things from Zara, but decided to abide by my frugal uni student ways by allowing my wallet to remain untouched within my black backpack. Perhaps I'll try to hunt them down while on vacation instead =]
Before finishing up for the day, we stopped by the newly-renovated yogen fruz. My friend grabbed a Panda Milk Tea (they have black and white tapioca!) while I stood beside her in line snapping away at the holiday-themed sprinkles and bubble tea powders/machinery.
