I first discovered the Dessert Cafe when my friends had posted photos after dining at one of their locations in Toronto. When I found out that they had plans to open up a franchise in Mississauga, I just knew that I had to drop by for a taste. (I mean, how could someone with such a massive sweet tooth resist?)
The tables at spin were large and comfortable, with enough space in between each one to have a decent conversation with the person(s) across from/beside you without overhearing the juicy details of the next table over. I also appreciated we were given a table near a somewhat diffused light source.
After taking in the environment and having a good long look at the menu, the above dishes were ordered. The Chicken Pesto Pizza appeared rather greasy (which it was), but the generous amount of mozzarella made up for that. I also enjoyed how the pieces of chicken breast weren't hard as a result of being overcooked, as this was a common situation at most places. I only consumed half of the pizza, for obvious reasons.
Their dessert selection was pretty impressive - almost anything could be made into a sundae, crepe, or waffle, with the prices increasing ever so steadily with each option. I was craving a waffle, and the We Will Rock You Waffle won out.
