Despite having to put forth my sweat and tears until the wee hours of the morning after a tiring day of school, I can honestly say that it was a fun experience. Hectic situations and chaotic circumstances are not things that I would want to encounter on a regular basis, especially if it involves academic priorities. However, it's always interesting to angle the tables in such a way that you assume a role opposite of the receiving side.
But enough of that! Let's move on to this week's food randoms!
As mentioned in my last post, I had been tempted to try to recreate the Tea Mousse I had experienced during my last Chatime visit.
After doing a swift yet thorough search of copycat Chatime drink recipes via Pinterest, one of my all-time favourite inspiration-inducing social media platforms, I landed on a page explaining how to whip up a similar concoction, but with ingredients that leaned on the side of absurdity. (Himalayan pink salt? I think I'll just stick with my trusty sea salt instead, thank you very much.)
The results came out quite nicely, bearing an almost-identical visual appearance to the legitimate version. (Except, of course, that I had ordered a Wintermelon Tea from the original vendor, but had brewed an Oolong this time instead.)
Neither was particularly satisfying, though proved be sufficient enough to sustain a moderately ravaging appetite just until dinner is to be served.
The last two weeks have been torturous, not only because of the upcoming assignments and lab reports, but also because of insomnia. This unexpected chocolate gift just made my day!
