As always, 'Visuals' posts consist of photos of the items that I have consumed over the past week or so, with the exception of a few campus randoms.
My first day back ended quite late, and since one of my extracurricular clubs had decided on an impromptu meetup that evening, I decided to grab a quick dessert before catching the bus home.
Shown below is "The Delicious Little Donut Thingy" from one of our on-campus restaurants. Not quite as delicious as its name claimed it to be, the dessert was essentially four small, floury mounds that had been warmed up, topped with Kit Kat bits, and drizzled in chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. A small scoop of vanilla ice cream had been placed on top, and four fusilli-sized squirts of whipped cream had been haphazardly squirted in line with the corners of the dish.
Thankfully, it wasn't nearly as sweet as it looked. It was also just enough to prevent me from reaching for a granola bar while on my way home.
1) My friend's magnetic bookmark...with broken Chinese phrases printed on it
2) Christmas ty Beanie Babies at Michaels
3) Colourful origami decoration spotted at an arts booth on campus
4) - 6) Lunch takeout from Bubble Republic consisting of a Stewed Meat on Rice combo with Kiwi Green Tea w/ Basil Seeds and a Taiwanese Minced Meat on Rice combo w/ Aloe Honey Juice
Despite wearing insulating gloves, my hands have began becoming extremely dry - so dry to the point that the backs of my hands have started cracking. Needless to say, waiting at the bus stop is even more unbearable; for yesterday's trip back, the bus driver had left students standing outside while he dodged into a nearby building, only emerging two minutes before departure time. My legs had almost gotten frostbitten by that point.
High winds have been making this winter even more brutal. And with these temperatures, Eskimo fashion has recently emerged as a new trend.
