Getting to Nathan Philips was actually a journey in itself, mainly because everything in the city is so foreign to me that it's difficult to refrain myself from going into tourist mode and snapping an endless amount of photos while walking. Quite truthfully, I can't remember a time when I've visited Toronto and been able to resist the urge to raise my head in admiration of the buildings that loomed above me.
On the second day of my break (excluding weekends in this count), I went skating for the first time since elementary school. A more extensive collection of the photos taken were added to the " Toronto" section of What I See, Places. After much stopping, we finally rounded the corner to City Hall, allowing the Nathan Philips rink to slowly come into view. The initial plan was to visit a sushi restaurant after skating. However, it was already past 2 pm by the time we had finished. Taking a quick detour through Eaton's, we decided to settle for Urban Eatery cuisine instead. We wrapped up the downtown tour by making a quick stop at Muji, which had been excessively over-hyped in my opinion. The day was wrapped up with movies and creating matcha egg waffles, which, might I add, didn't turn out too shabby for a first attempt. Comments are closed.
