Starbucks' decorations are honestly so pretty. (And no, I haven't gotten my red cup yet since I've yet to order any hot drinks from them - Go figure, considering the weather we're experiencing.)

Clearly, I order Starbucks too often.

And though not pictured here, I also think I overeat my share of cookies, ice cream, and chocolate almost everyday. Whoops.

In other news, I happened to stumble upon a Fair Trade Fair today.

Among that booths were health food stalls, fair trade authentic alpaca attire, wooden accessories, handknit scarves and accessories, and a few student-run clubs.

I picked up two tins of izu matcha as well as a matcha spoon and whisk set before heading over to the fair trade chocolate and coffee booth.

They had two types of dark "eating"chocolate for sale: one vanilla-flavoured and the other containing fine coconut flakes. I was told that both were created from fine cocoa pods harvested by farmers in Mexico and were sweetened using raw cane sugar as opposed to refined sweeteners. The coffee was also extremely fragrant with just a hint of chocolatey-ness. I ended up picking up a bag of coffee beans as well as the vanilla-flavoured chocolate bar.
On the other side of the booth,  large chunks of chocolate that had been chopped up beforehand were being placed into a powerful high-speed blender with boiling water, and then blended until completely smooth. This was "drinking" chocolate and had an exquisite, bittersweet taste to it.

Midterms are torturous. But geez, I need to get out more often.
