After attempting to learn GOT7's 'A' dance with a close friend of mine, we grabbed an early dinner at Man Doo Hyang.
After giving the menu a thorough read-through, we called the waitress over. We were then shortly served three kimchi-based side dishes that ranged in levels of spiciness. Our meals followed up pretty quickly.
But one look at the red pepper flakes floating atop the broth and I knew I had made a mistake. Meticulously picking up an onion near the surface had proved that.
When I called the waitress over. she confirmed that the dish I received was indeed the seafood bowl I had ordered, though there had not been a red pepper icon due to the fact that it was not considered spicy by Korean standards. She was very kind though, and asked if I wanted it remade with a non-spicy version of the broth, to which I immediately nodded at.
Several minutes later, a seafood bowl devoid of red pepper flakes was set in front of me. And while it was hot and excessively salty, thank goodness it wasn't spicy.
