No that's a lie. I've never had much positive energy to begin with.
Those have seen me in my morning classes know that I'm a walking zombie until after lunch.
What can I say? I'm just not a morning person =P It is my belief that one is much more productive if he/she sleeps late and wakes up late if he/she happens to fall under the "nocturnal being" category, which I of course do.
But getting back on topic, I have decided to not ruin my decently good about composing a rant comprised of a weekend spent doing trusses practice for a mechanics midterm just to take one look at the paper and fight the urge to utter "Oh. Crap." and an OVERLY keen lab partner that enjoys dedicating all her school time and spare time to complete assignments WAAAYYY ahead of their due date. So yeah, let's NOT talk about that =)
Instead, let's talk about me spending money, again. =D
So because my mechanics midterm went absolutely horrible (so horrible that I don't even bother TRYING to express the frustration-inducing feeling through the use of sarcasm), I decided I needed some major cheering up in the form of edible therapy - Menchies!
Since Halloween is slowly creeping up on us, I am determined to get all the possible wigs and costume supplies necessary for my future cosplays/Halloween costumes while they're in store.
In hopes of finding a red bowler hat (for a certain cosplay which I am currently keeping a secret ;)), I headed for Markville Mall in Markham after my weekly physio treatment.
Though even after scouring the entire commercial complex, I was without luck.
However, I did discover that The Face Shop has now opened a corporate location (as opposed to Pacific Mall's franchise) in Markville! Today happened to be their Grand Opening, so a store-wide promotion of discounts were being applied.
Excited about the complete range of products they carried, I also ended up picking up some things xD
And if you happen to be wondering whether I wear falsies on a daily basis, the answer is NO.
Heck, I don't even bother wearing mascara or eyeliner usually. But since anime girls always tend to have these gorgeous ginormous eyes, I just felt that my own eyes would have probably needed a boost if I was to dress in way that resembled them.
I am currently using a Shiseido primer, but nonetheless, it doesn't hurt to give this base a try.
There are actually two shades of the Lovely Me:ex Makeup Base: 01 Green and 02 Violet. Although I already had a good enough hunch of the purpose of using these pigments in a primer, I asked one of the sales rep just to confirm my theory, "What is the difference between these two?".
The response I received was flat, but still friendly, "One is green, and the other is purple."
"....."
"....."
"...al-alright. And what do they..do?"
"One's for lighter skin and the other for darker."
"..um, okay then."
My theory was that the primers were coloured differently to target different complexion complexes:
a) GREEN is a complementary colour to red, meaning that it will neutralize any redness and/or blemishes to deliver a fresh, clean appearance.
b) VIOLET, or purple, is a complementary colour to yellow, meaning that it will brighten up dull skin and dark spots for a youthful, refreshing appearance.
And after conducting some research after arriving back at home, my theories were proven to be correct. So much for knowledgeable sales assistants =P
Side Note: Markville has undergone some major renovations! A lot of already-existing stores in Square One have recently opened up there. And boy, do the store layouts look posh.
But I guess the trip wasn't for nothing though: I tried my first EVER Starbucks caffeinated beverage O o O !!
I just finished off my day with an hour's worth of badminton, possibly being the final factor in leading me to exhaustion.
Oh and before I forget! Here's a clip of a man performing live near the beauty department of The Bay at Markville.
