To my disappointment though, the bus had arrived a few minutes early and whizzed by the bus stop just as I was about to cross the street. Just my luck.
In the end, I decided to just enjoy the weather and walk the full distance instead.
I originally intended for today to be completely dedicated to editing my (much overdue) vacation photos and doing chores, however, once my Frappuccino craving hit, I knew there was no way I was going to be able to continue without satisfying it first. After proceeding to get ready to face the outside world and its glorious UV rays, I checked the bus schedule to see when the next bus would be arriving. As the schedule had informed me that there was still another 6 minutes, I took my time gathering my things before heading out the door. To my disappointment though, the bus had arrived a few minutes early and whizzed by the bus stop just as I was about to cross the street. Just my luck. In the end, I decided to just enjoy the weather and walk the full distance instead. < Shown above: Today's lunch, consisting of rice, steamed veggies, a broken poached egg, and furikake, and a Java Chip Frappuccino to satisfy my unearthly sugared-up caffeine desires. > Walking through the mall that contained this Starbucks, I came across some gorgeous butterfly crystal decorations at Swarovski, in addition to spotting a nifty little gift set from Clarins containing a product I recently reviewed over at Review Junkie. On my way back, I noticed that there was now a sign outlining the steps to properly cross an intersection bolted to a lightpost. I'm not quite sure why something like that would be necessary, but it is my belief that perhaps it was advised to do so due to the number of accidents that occur at large intersections. A lone dandelion had caught my eye as well, so I had to stop for a photo. (And geez, how amazing are smartphone cameras nowadays?! I feel quite ancient saying this, but back in my day as a child, there were no camera phones. Phones were basic devices meant for communication and nothing much else.) And so concludes my lazy day recap!
