Mi'Hito Sushi Laboratory is Spoon and Fork's response to this. Frankly, it's not much closer to City Centre in terms of distance. However, it is much more accessible by highway and situated in an area with just a little less traffic.
Already home to Cineplex, Demetres, and several other grab-and-go places, the Courtneypark plaza recently welcomed the trendy cuisine after the closure of Prince Sushi.
It offers an identical poke/sushi burrito menu to Corner, with the exception of one new addition: Sushi Tacos. The interior is significantly smaller in comparison and retains a sleeker, less cozy vibe; it places emphasis on communal tables, stone grey walls sporting bold outlined figures, and an abundance of natural lighting.
We opt for a duo of Sushi Tacos (Spicy Salmon and Unagi) and a Rising Sun sushi burrito, both of which were prepared swiftly but not without minor kinks in the ordering process. The lady behind the cashier seemed to be unsure of the computer system operations; her English comprehension skills were also found to be need improvement, as a portion of the phone call consisted of "yes" and "ok" to open-ended inquiries.
Rising Sun was absolutely scrumptious as a late lunch. The burrito container was portable and featured a perforated opening that allowed ease of consumption even while on the go. Essentially, the packaging was identical to Corner.
This marks the second time.
I had been kind enough to forgo the first incident, where I had taken up the responsbility of waking up on time for our scheduled meet-up time and date, despite only having returned from a late-night concert with a mere five hours of sleep before the third (and final) concert of TKC weekend.
Having peeled my unwilling body away from warm sheets of comfort and haggardly gotten dressed and done up for the forty-five minute commute, only to be told minutes before departure that the meet-up details would be altered to fit a different schedule was by far the most enraging and frustrating experiences in my lifetime as an efficiency activist.
Second chances aren't intended to be given, but rather earned. It is only necessary for betrayal to occur once before it is deemed immoral and unnacceptable. Yet, my forgiveness, flexibility, and kindness had been tossed not once, but twice out the window.
Plan modifications are acceptable, but only when expressed in a reasonable amount of time.
As an adult, or even a decent human being, one ought to assume responsibility for your own actions and commitments. Should one voluntarily abandon these basic skills for communication, please refrain from burdening and hindering others with your despicable ways of living.
At this point in time, no further forgiveness will be given.
A minor lack of punctuality with prior notification is something I can accept during extraneous circumstances.
However, BLATANT DISRESPECT for my TIME and SCHEDULE shall never be forgiven.
