Following my exam, I decided to check out one of the sponsors for the Style At Mac Horizons Fashion Show - Modify Your Closet!
Flooded with a plethora of trendy and vintage pieces, in addition to pieces created by the owner herself, Modify Your Closet is also home to some amazing little trinkets and unique footwear. They also have a menswear line which, in my opinion, simply oozes a hip, yet timeless aura.
Prices were extremely reasonable - I almost scored a short-sleeved Guess denim jacket with a removable cropped tailcoat-like piece for $29! It didn't quite suit me in the way I would've liked, however, I can definitely envision it becoming a comfortable addition to the closet of someone else with a more befitting figure and stature.
Another sponsor of the show was Out of the Past, located a few stores down from Modify Your Closet.
Retailing an unfathomable amount of vintage and alternative pieces, as well as vivid accessories (think neon wigs, spacers, and costume jewellery), Out of the Past can basically be described as a treasure chest for those seeking genuine "aged vintage" items and costume pieces that are less than common.
I wasn't permitted to capture more than a few shots though; the store owner encouraged people to visit the store themselves to see what they have in stock!
