Out & About #20 | Adventures on Locke St.

Woohoo~ Today was officially the last day of classes!

...though that also means that exams are looming steadily, and may potentially strike when you least expect it.

(*Sigh* I really should be studying)

But that aside! Today, a friend and I went downtown to a cool little restaurant called The Vintage Garden Tea Room.

Located right on the corner of a quiet residential area and busy Locke Street, the restaurant was a cozy little (and yes, it was quite small) house that had morphed into a tea house oozing of vintage essence.

Upon first stepping in, we notified the server that we had to leave the restaurant in approximately 40 minutes and asked whether it was possible. As we were not getting our tea leaves read, he told us that it seemed doable.

We ordered the Tea for Two deal, which included fourteen mini sandwiches (egg salad, cheese and sprouts, cucumber, and ham salad) in addition to two pots of our choice of tea. I ordered Rhubarb Cream, while my friend ordered Green Tea (and proceeded to dump spoonfuls of sugar into it afterwards. Haha).

Despite having to rush the server, he was extremely polite and made our stay as enjoyable as could be.

If possible, I would love to revisit this place on a day featuring a more lax schedule and enjoy a "proper" cup of tea. =)

Overall, it's been a crazy hectic day.
