[Out & About 16] Munching in Markham + More Korean Beauty Products?!

3/1/2014

After being welcomed back from reading week an incredulous amount of assignments and lab reports, in addition to one painfully depressing structures midterm, I took Saturday off to relax in Markham.

Well, not really.

Technically, it's not "relaxing"; it can be described more accurately as "going to physio and just eating lunch after".

As I finished my physio treatment much earlier than my mom (and yes, we both go to physio place but she has more frequent appointments than I do), I decided to go buy egg waffles to munch on before lunch.

Before having lunch, I requested a quick stop at Tony Moly. I had preordered the Panda's Dream So Cool cooling stick during my previous trip and had to retrieve it before the 2-week hold period was over. I also picked up two Baby Skin Heel Patches and a Peeling Liquid mask as I've noticed my heels have been cracking in a most disturbing way due to the harsh winter weather.

While on my way out from Tony Moly, it came to my attention that Presotea had opened up in Pacific Mall.
They had already opened a joint kiosk in Square One with yogen fruz, but this was the first time I had seen another location. Curiosity arising from the black and white tapioca combination in the Panda Milk Tea, I decided to order one and made a quick dash into Holika Holika while it was being prepared.

The human brain works in odd ways: my initial goal was to invest in a new clear brow gel (as my Anastasia one was running low), but since Tony Moly didn't seem to have any uncoloured ones, I headed to Holika Holika after ordering my bubble tea.

And then I remembered that I forgot to check out the scented lip balm duos the last time I was here. I ended up picking up the Milky Soda lip balm duo and proceeded to the cashier without even considering the price of the product.
Appearing quite stunned at hearing how much was being charged, the sales rep still asked if I wanted the set. Looking back, I should have said "No."; I regret this purchase now, but at that point in time, my brain apparently didn't want to function logically.

Either way, I suppose I'll give it a try and hope that its performance exceeds that of all the other products I've tried from the brand.

Lunch followed shortly after the Pmall trip, and took place at an overly Asian seafood restaurant called 'Fishman Lobster Club'.

Nope, you read that correctly - it's 'Fishman', not 'Fisherman'.

OH GOSH. / _ - ;
It's quite ironic that someone who doesn't eat crab or lobster, nor has a particular affinity for shrimp, would step foot into a seafood restaurant.
Well, let's just say it wasn't my decision - while I've disliked lobster ever since I was a kid, my dad LOVES it. My mom also likes indulging in crab from time to time, when she isn't concerned about LDL levels.

Thankfully, I didn't have to eat much, as I was already sufficiently full from the egg waffles and starchy tapioca pearls contained in the bubble tea.

What followed after was simply a mishmash of rushed grocery shopping and me snacking heavily on delectable scones from Cobs Bread (OMG, they have the BEST scones!) before dinner.

AHEM. Now let's starting working on that lab report...
