Chinese New Year Day basically consisted of going to the temple (no, I'm not Buddhist) for New Year festivities during the afternoon and an approximately 2.5 hour-long Facetime session with my family on the other side of the country.
(The charm I'm currently using is actually the horse one (right hand side) of the first photo.)
Hope everyone that celebrated had an amazing Chinese New Year / Lunar New Year and received a good amount of red envelopes! (Ahax)
Technically, the entire month is considered New Year's month and one can received red envelopes at any point during the 15-day span. But as it's quite difficult for that to take place here, given that we don't have the holidays that Asia do, my family just normally celebrates New Year Eve, New Year Day, and the seventh day of the New Year (also known as "Everyone's Birthday" / "Chinese Valentine's Day")
Anyways, off to tackle a report on recycling now!
