Read Part 1 HERE ! Soon, we arrived at Confederation Bridge. We pulled aside to observe the bridge from the north side, then looped into the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre parking lot on the south. After securing a bounty of similar-looking shots, we hopped back into the car and drove across. Traversing along the bridge felt humdrum in comparison to the view that we had immersed ourselves in just several minutes ago. The swapped perspective meant a smooth ride with only minor fluctuations in elevation. I opened the window several times during our journey, only to be slapped with ruthless gusts of wind. For this reason in particular, I found it amusing that seagulls were able to resist such aerodynamic forces, despite the addition pull of vehicles operating at high speeds. A series of tourist-friendly shops named Gateway Villages lay just after the bridge. It was here that we found a fixed crossing of the Confederation Bridge on display. Mango Sorbet, Mooey Gooey, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry in a somewhat soggy waffle bowl made up the constituents of an all-too-substantial Sundae. Monogrammed moo-themed tourist apparel were obtained here as well. Fun fact: The chipped mascot retreated into the store at the end of each business day. Read Part 3 HERE !
