No really. They were seriously amazing.
Like, I tried a bit of the gingerbread scone samples they had sitting atop the glass display case and was instantly sold.
In addition to these scones, they also had a savoury spinach and feta one, though we didn't get a chance to try that. Besides baked goods such as scones, muffins, danishes, and cinnamon rolls, Cobs Bread has an even larger selection of breads, including a high fibre loaf. Though we were kind of short on time when making our purchase, we'll definitely go back to try more of their products in the future ^ ^
Back in August, my uncle and aunt brought me and my grandparents to Kamei Royale for some a crazy sushi dinner. This time around, it was a huge family dinner with a lot more food.
They weren't able to use soybean paper, but swtiching up normal white rice for brown - er purple - rice not only added to the visual appeal of the dish but also made for a distinct texture and taste.
My grandmother urged me to order dessert after finishing, as she recalled that I had really wanted to try dessert last time but sadly just didn't have room for it. Well, I didn't have room for it this time either, nor did I really feel like ordering something rich and indulgent like a crème brûlée cheesecake or overly sweet anmitsu.
Instead, I opted for a Brown Cow (pictured in the slideshow), which was quite a refreshing way to end the night.
