[Christmas in Vancouver] Day 2 / Burnaby Shopping Guide (Part II)

12/24/2013

Continuing from Part I...

While Metrotown is amazing for high-fashion finds and indulgent skincare products, Crystal Mall is the place to hunt down a Korean pop culture-related product while slurping a good cup of bubble tea.
3) Everyday Toys
Crystal Mall, Unit #2323

Everyday Toys has been my go-to store for Etude House products for years! They receive new products fairly often and price items at a "reasonable marked-up cost", meaning that you won't be able to find the same extensive range of products for a better price anywhere else in the mall.

They also have annual and/or sales to enhance consumerism, sometimes which include K-Pop mousepads being sold for only $3!
And in the store window, a small television screen can always be found showcasing recent performances of Hallyu's current top names.

4) KR Multimedia
Crystal Mall, Unit #1619

Despite being the most overpriced store of them all, you can't deny that KR Multimedia is a store you kind of "have" to come back to. They have, by far, the broadest range of official and unofficial K-Pop goods I've ever seen in my entire life. (Well, in Canada, at least). And this is probably the reason why they're able to set their prices so high - I mean, $6.50 for an unofficial wristband?! Not happening.

I must mention though, that this store is highly targeted toward female customers. And if you happen to be like EXO, this place is heaven for you. I was surprised they also had a lot of B.A.P merchandise as well, but I guess that can only be a good thing since it means that their popularity is steadily growing within the North American market. ^ - ^ /

Here's a (shaky) tour of the store for those interested:
Though majority of the stores that sell Asian products are probably earning $$$ by marking up their products by 100%+, in my opinion, it's still a much better deal than having to pay tremendous shipping fees or flying to Korea to purchase the product yourself =P

And so the guide ends here!
